Transferring from AT&T Wireless to AT&T Prepaid?

So, it was simple in the end and I didn't have to call Mint or RW, but it took lots and lots of trying. To start, find out if your number is eligible to transfer. Using that number at this point I was able to transfer the phone number without a problem. After a couple of minutes I went back to my RW account and saw that the account number for the second line had changed to the primary line's account number.

I need a different area code for this phone. Allows you to keep your current area code. Click the drop-down menu, then click one of the following reasons: I need a new phone number in the same area. Select a reason for changing your number. Fortunately, that worked almost instantly (transferring from a 4.0 My Choice plan). Click the number of the phone that you want to want to change. Finally, I gave up on that line and transferred my main line (that account number was NOT my phone number). Problem was, the account number under "Manage Lines" (just the phone number) wouldn't work no matter what I tried (and a tried for more than an hour). When trying to port numbers to Mint Mobile, I tried to transfer the second line first and spent a frustrating amount of time figuring out the account number, etc. I had two lines on RW account, but I never assigned a user to the second line. I'll share my experience and workaround in case it helps anyone else. Seriously shady business practices from Republic. Hopefully this saves someone else a headache.

My number appears to be successfully transfered now (even though I'm still waiting for the Mint Mobile app to show it as complete - my texts and calls are working with my original number). The rep gave an ENTIRELY different number (which is actually ELEVEN digits long). Three phone calls and two hours later, I get an amazing rep with Mint Mobile who called Republic and had us to a three way call so she could get the information directly. She tells me that the account number is the same as the ten digit phone number. I told her to port the number, she asked if there was anything she could do to get me to stay, I told her no. Then, youll scroll down and select the device for which you want the number changed. The representative specifically asked if I was requesting the account number to port the number, or for my personal information. Next, youll go to Overview, followed by My Wireless. I called Republic earlier today to find out my account number for the port. I just had a VERY irritating two hours, so I'd like to save the rest of you who are jumping ship the trouble.
